Congratulations to the 2024 YTC Champions in middle school girls basketball! In a 5 team bracket style format, the Lady Thunder beat Sully Buttes in their first game 27-6 to advance to the championship game. The Lady Thunder had another strong showing in the championship game beating Herreid/Selby Area 42-22 .
FCCLA, NHS, and Student Council are collecting non-perishable foods for our annual food drive. A reward will be given to both the elementary and high school classes with the most items donated. Please do not send expired goods with your kids.
The Eureka School District is looking for people who are willing to be substitutes in the kitchen. Duties would include food preparation, food handling, dishes. clean-up, etc. If you are interested please contact Nick Weismantel at 284-2875.
On Saturday, December 7th there will be a 2024 Thunder Basketball Kick-Off held in Roscoe starting at 4:00 PM. There will be 3 on 3 competitions, shooting games, and other fun activities for all boys and girls in grades 2nd - 5th grade to participate in. The kick-off is free to attend. Come on out and support the Thunder Basketball Programs as they start their seasons!!

Please join us for the Veteran's Day Program on Monday, November 11th at 10:00 am in the school gymnasium. A meal will be provided following the program in honor of all the Veterans. There will be a free-will donation.
LET'S BRING THE THUNDER!
There's no doubt we have one of the best cheering sections around! Thunder fans we need you to show up as our Thunder volleyball team heads to Faulkton Tuesday, November 6th to take on the Faulkton Trojans at 7:00 PM for our Region 6B game! Eureka will be providing a fan bus for those that want to ride! The cost is $3 per person (adult or student). Fans will need to sign up in the Eureka School office by NOON on Monday, November 4th! There will need to be a minimum of 10 fans signed up for the fan bus to happen! If Bowdle or Edmunds Central fans would like to possibly ride the bus, please call the Eureka school office and you will be put on a list as we want to make sure we have room. The fan bus will leave Eureka at 5:00 PM and head home directly after the game. The cost of the game is $6 adults and $4 students. Fans will be responsible to pay their own way into game.

The Eureka School Board will hold a special board meeting with the Bowdle School Board tomorrow, October 29th in Eureka. The Eureka Board will meet at 5:00 PM in the board meeting room to hold an executive session and then meet with the Bowdle Board at 5:30 PM in the Multi-Purpose Room. We will then give a tour to the Bowdle School Board of the facility and then have a discussion with their board about a potential joint powers agreement. This is not a town hall style meeting, this is a meeting between the boards to discuss the potential for an agreement. If Bowdle chooses to continue discussion with the Eureka School District, we will then hold a town hall meeting in the future to address questions from patrons.

Reminder school is dismissed at 12:30 today due to PK-12th grade parent-teacher conferences from 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM. In addition, if you have not returned your 4-day school week survey please bring them back by the end of this week. We want to put together the results for our regular November School Board meeting.
The Book Fair will be open today from 1 pm to 7 pm! It will also be open tomorrow from 8 am to 8:45 am! It will be closed after school on Thursday and closed all day on Friday. It will be open next week every day from 8 am to 8:20 am and after school from 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
