On Wednesday, April 23, students from Eureka School pitched in to help clean up the town in celebration of Earth Day. Students from kindergarten through 12th grade participated in the event, each class assigned to a different area of town to pick up litter and do their part in keeping our community beautiful.
The cleanup was not only a great way to give back, but also an opportunity for students to see the impact they can have when they work together. After an afternoon of collecting trash, students returned to the school where they were treated to ice cream, generously provided by Ken's Fairway, and bottled water from FEM.
It was a fun and meaningful day that reminded everyone how important it is to care for our environment—and how rewarding it can be to make a difference close to home.
