Congratulations to Judah Fargher who won the local Geography Bee contest. Second place went to Keiara Wherry and third place Gavin Rohrbach.
All Juniors and Seniors will report to the FACS room during 7th hour on Friday, January 24th for a presentation regarding National Guard. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Weismantel.

Scholarship/Student Opportunities:
**January 31, 2025 – Cam Wal Electric Cooperative Scholarship – Seniors – Applicants must be a US citizen and dependents of Cam Wal customers. See Mrs. Mettler for an application.
**February 13 – Three FEM Electric Cooperative Scholarships (1-$1,000 & 2-$500) – Seniors – Parents/guardians must be current FEM members – See Mrs. Mettler for an application
**March 16 – Bellator Titans Scholarship – Seniors – going into their 1st year of post-secondary education in South Dakota and demonstrate financial need – See Mrs. Mettler for application
**March 21 – South Dakota Youth Trooper Academy – Juniors/Seniors – Sponsored by the SD Highway Patrol – June 23-27, 2025. It is in Pierre, SD. See Mrs. Mettler if interested.
**March 15, 2025 – Sioux Falls Community Foundation – Seniors – Over 60 different scholarship opportunities are available to students who will be attending college in the fall of 2025 – not every scholarship will be available to you. Awards range from $450 - $15,000 per academic year. Application is available at www.sfacf.org/grants-scholarships/scholarships See Mrs. Mettler for more information.
**March 26 – Bellator Titans Scholarship – Seniors – going into their 1st year of post-secondary education in South Dakota and demonstrate financial need – See Mrs. Mettler for application
** April 1 – Day County Coyote Hunt $2,000 Scholarship – Seniors – must be attending a college, university, or technical school and have an immediate family member (parent, step-parent, grandparent, sibling) of a current soldier or Veteran of the Armed Forces.
**April 1, 2025 – Seniors – SD Association of Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling Contractors Educational Foundation – Two $2,000 scholarships – See Mrs. Mettler for more information.
** Scrubs Camp – This is a one-day health career exploration event where students will get the opportunity to learn from local professionals about various careers and engage in hands-on activities about each health career in Aberdeen April 30. See Mrs. Mettler for more information.
