**Attention Sophomores – Your HOBY registration form is due tomorrow, December 17th! This is a great opportunity for you to seek out, recognize, and develop your leadership skills and ability. Please give your application to Mrs. Mettler.
Sports Recap: The Lady Thunder basketball team ended with a close loss to Sully Buttes this past Friday night with a final score of 53-50. Saturday the ladies traveled to McIntosh and came home with a win 54-37.
Scholarship/Student Opportunities:
**January 17 – Eastern Chapter of the SD Engineering Society – Seniors – Must be pursuing an Engineering Degree and planning to attend SDSU or SD School of Mines & Technology-See Mrs. Metter for an application.
**January 31, 2025 – Cam Wal Electric Cooperative Scholarship – Seniors – Applicants must be a US citizen and dependents of Cam Wal customers. See Mrs. Mettler for an application.
**March 21 – South Dakota Youth Trooper Academy – Juniors/Seniors – Sponsored by the SD Highway Patrol – June 23-27, 2025. It is in Pierre, SD. See Mrs. Mettler if interested.
**March 15, 2025 – Sioux Falls Community Foundation – Seniors – Over 60 different scholarship opportunities are available to students who will be attending college in the fall of 2025 – not every scholarship will be available to you. Awards range from $450 - $15,000 per academic year. Application is available at www.sfacf.org/grants-scholarships/scholarships See Mrs. Mettler for more information.
**March 26 – Bellator Titans Scholarship – Seniors – going into their 1st year of post-secondary education in South Dakota and demonstrate financial need – See Mrs. Mettler for application
**April 1, 2025 – Seniors – SD Association of Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling Contractors Educational Foundation – Two $2,000 scholarships – See Mrs. Mettler for more information.
** Scrubs Camp – This is a one-day health career exploration event where students will get the opportunity to learn from local professionals about various careers and engage in hands-on activities about each health career in Aberdeen April 30. See Mrs. Mettler for more information.
